Saturday, Dec 12, 2020 | 7:30pm to 8:00pm

The Reno Wind Symphony is presenting A Holiday Celebration through the power of online streaming.

Selections include:

  • Ukrainian Bell Carol, which tells the story of a swallow flying into a household to proclaim the plentiful year the family will have
  • Silent Night in Gotham City,  a haunting arrangement of Franz Gruber’s classic melody, written in the harmonic style of Danny Elfman, composer of the original Batman film score
  • A Christmas Festival combines nine tunes from secular and religious sources, into an arrangement which celebrates the joy, celebration, and solemnity of Christmas
  • Midnight in Bethlehem, an arrangement of two beautiful carols capturing the spirit of the season — “Away in a Manger” and “O Little Town of Bethlehem”
  • The sounds of a horse-drawn sleigh ride are heard in Sleigh Ride, the last song of the performance

Admission is free, though donations are welcome to help cover the technology costs involved in creating a virtual concert.
