"So while it’s difficult to stay at home and feel all of life’s uncertainty right now, we are enjoying the time together very much.” ~Jessica Santina
Story Summary (100 Character Max):
While the coronavirus pandemic has upended the world in many ways, it has also given us an opportunity to spend the kind of quality time with our kids we may not have had before.

It’s not often that all of us face the same crisis at the same time, though obviously we’re all experiencing it in different ways. One thing that has changed for many of us is that we are spending significantly more time with our children. And while this does come with its own set of challenges, it’s important to remind ourselves that this is also a wonderful opportunity.

Story Summary (100 Character Max):
While we are all braving this new world of social distancing, we asked our followers to share their ideas for staying connected.

I just got off a two-hour video conference “party” with 11 people and a dog named Cooper.

The party was in honor of a friend’s birthday, which fell — quite inconveniently — during a time of necessary social distancing.

This Lent, do more than give up vices. Give back to the community.
Pull Quote (200 Character Max):
St. Francis of Assisi once said, “For it is in giving that we receive.” Through giving, we can all receive the love, compassion, and community that we all seek.
Story Summary (100 Character Max):
This Lenten season, perhaps we should not simply consider what to give up or abstain from, but rather how we can give back and enrich others. And not just during 40 days, but throughout the year.

Many religions include a period of fasting or abstaining. During the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, fasting is observed between dawn and nightfall. On the most sacred day of the year in the Jewish faith, Yom Kippur, Jews fast for a day to reflect, repent and atone. Hindus observe fasts during festivals, as well as specific days of the week and month. In Catholicism, one of the most well-known traditions is the act of fasting during the Lenten season.
