Coffee & Conversation on Preventing Financial Scams

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada's Preventing Financial Scams Initiative protects our community. We invite you to a virtual Coffee and Conversation on Preventing Financial Scams.

Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM on Zoom

To register, click here.

When we come together, good things happen. We have learned through previous virtual Coffee and Conversation events that scammers like to take advantage of people when they are most vulnerable. This brought about COVID-19 scams such as employment scams, fake stimulus checks, and more.

Learn more about these scams from a panel of experts. Tim Johnston, Vice President of Outreach for the Better Business Bureau, will discuss puppy scams, and Epseranza Henslee, from Access to Healthcare Network, will present on Medicare fraud.

Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your story. Perhaps you can help a fellow community member stop a scam.

Despite the prevalence of scams, we know good things happen when our community comes together. We hope you will join us.

Thank you!
